The smell of these savory and sweet honey chicken wings cooking will grab you around the taste buds and drag you into the kitchen.
Sauce:
2 ¼ cups Franks Hot Sauce
½ cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic, pressed
2 tsps. Fresh ginger, grated
½ cup Gochujang hot pepper paste
1 tsp. black pepper
2 cups honey
1 ½ tsps. Onion powder
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. garlic powder
Wings:
2 pounds chicken wings
Bottle of Italian dressing
Tapioca flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Garnish/serving:
Blue cheese or ranch dressing
Chives
Sesame seeds
Marinate wings in Italian dressing for 4 hours or up to overnight. Drain. Place flour in pie dish or a shallow pan. Add salt/pepper to taste. Lightly dredge wings in batter, shake off excess. Fry wings in batches at 350 degrees for 14 minutes until 165 degrees and outside is brown and crisp.
Roll cooked wings in sauce. Plate them and sprinkle with chives and/or sesame seeds. Serve with Blue Cheese dressing on the side.
